Hairdressing or Barbering are based around fundamental techniques and practical skills.
Repetition is the key to building confidence and speed .

Step 1 Demonstration
This can be 1-2-1 in person with live demonstrations
or step by step tutorial videos, where you can pause and reply at anytime.

Step 2 Your take what you have seen and transfer to a hairdressing training head.
No pressure to get live models when you first start.
The good thing about working on a training head , they do not care how long you take
and they never answer back !

Step 3 Feedback Sessions with Jacquie
This can be 1-2-1 in-person or live online with zoom, whatsapp, facetime.
Supporting you at every stage, giving you guidance and reassurance.

Step 4 Repeat & Practice
Once you have understood a technique. practicing and repeating at least 3-4 times.
This allows you to build up your speed and confidence.
Just because you have done it once, does not mean you have understood it or you remember it. Your speed and timing will matter when with clients.

Sept 5 Ask friends, family, neighbours to be a model.
You transfer what you have learnt from a training head to a real person.
This is where timing and speed does matters.
You take before and after photos . This allows you to see your progress plus you will have photos for future social media , advertising and marketing

Part of your course is case studies. Before and after photos of your work. You can then use these to advertise your business. Many students go on to work for themself, freelance. To get a job in a salon that will be subject to an interview and trade test.
