How You will Learn
Training is a combination of theory, practical and case studies.
Hairdressing is built on techniques, and when those techniques are combined, they create amazing styles.
You will begin at first working on hair training heads, before progressing onto models such as friends and family.
You will be encouraged to take before and after photos to build real industry experience and create strong marketing content for your future career.
Level 2 + Level 3 Skills Combined
Traditional hairdressing training courses at a college and salon apprenticeships is recognised as NVQ/ VCTC and broken up into 3 levels.
Level 1 is more styling based, L2 is introduction and fundamentals cutting and colouring and L3 is advanced and creative skills.
With VIPhair4utraining offers an alternative method in learning.

With over 30 years in the industry, I hold a full Further Education Teaching Qualification, trained in Harrods London, worked on the cruise ships travelling world doing hair and have worked as an Educator/ Trainer for L’Oréal Professional and Toni & Guy, delivering training within professional academies.

Training 1 or 2 sessions a week ( Subject to Diary Dates) it is not just about the time you spend with Jacquie, You would need time to practice in between each session , so you can build up your speed and confidence.

What Do You Need To be a Professional Hairdresser or Barber?
Skills plus you need public liability insurance because it allows you to: * Protect yourself against claims - if a client or member of the public is injured or their property is damaged as a result of your work (e.g., slips, trips, allergic reactions, burns). * Cover legal fees and compensation costs that could arise from such claims, which could otherwise be financially devastating.Work in salons or as a mobile hairdresser - allowing you to operate. * Demonstrate professionalism and reassure clients that you take their safety seriously.
How AN NVQ/VCTC & VIPHAIR4UTRAINING WORK
NVQ/VTCT: Designed for 16–24-year-olds in college or salon apprenticeships. Often broken up into * Level 1 - 1 Year, Styling/ Introduction to Hair * Level 2 - 1-2yrs, Basic Understanding * Level 3 - 1-2 years Advanced and Creative. * Barbering - majority colleges want you to learn ladies hair before doing barbering ( The longer you are on training the more money a college or company can makes) Most salon can not afford to train over 24yrs as minimum wage and NI contribution kicks in. Plus they may not have time to train as busy with clients. * Going to College is 1 tutor to 12-20 students. Progress does not happen until everyone is at a certain level. Plus they want to add in extra skills like english and maths. Ladies Hairdressing An Average Price For A Ladies' Cut & Blow dry is £30- £70 Taking around 45minuts -1 hour to do Let say you do 2 clients in the morning & 2 Clients in the afternoon at £40 Each = £160 a day ( Do that 5 days a week = £800) Colouring Hair Can be anything from £50- £200+ With A Cut and Blow dry on top of that. Barbering The average Price For A-Gents Cut is £15- £35 Taking around 30- 45 minutes Let say you do 3 clients in the morning & 3 Clients in the afternoon at £15 = £90 A day ( Do That 5 Days A week = £450)
